  length in the metric system?
Measurements in the metric system are based upon the meter (m). Other commonly used metric units are the centimeter (cm), millimeter (mm), and kilometer (km).
1 meter equals 100 centimeters, 1 meter equals 1,000 millimeters, 1,000 meters equals 1 kilometer
