Scaffolding is temporary support given as students learn new skills. Scaffolded instruction includes direct explanations, crutches, and other support which is gradually removed as skills are mastered.
Be sure to schedule time for students to work on the unit inquiry project, "Learning About Money." This week students look for information that helps them answer their questions.
