WRITE AN ADVERTISEMENT
Ask students to write an advertisement for a product. The ad should use at least three spelling words. Encourage children to read their ads aloud to the class.
These words are difficult for third-graders to spell because of the different ways to spell the /ou/ diphthong. Alert students to these frequently misspelled words.
