Target Skill SKILL DRAW CONCLUSIONS To draw a conclusion
means to make a decision after reading and thinking about details and facts.
Target Skill STRATEGY ASK QUESTIONS To draw conclusions,
ask yourself questions as you read. Ask why certain things happen or why characters act as they do. Asking questions will help you to draw conclusions about the story's characters or events.
SKILL READING SILENTLY Reading silently means reading only to yourself. When you read silently, you correct yourself when you make a mistake, or reread if something doesn't make sense.
