About the Cover Artist
Mark Buehner's sisters say that he was born with a pencil in his hand. While he was growing up, pulling out pencils,
paper, and watercolors was part of his daily routine. He loved poring over the pictures in books and even used to
staple his pictures together to make books. He had no idea that what he was doing would eventually become his
career. He grew up to become an award-winning illustrator of books for children. He believes he has the best job
in the world!
