word. Underline each spelling as
it is identified.

WRITE AN E-MAIL
Ask students to write an e-mail to
a friend using at least four of the spelling words. The message could be about an event in their lives or something the students are looking forward to doing. Have students share their messages by reading them aloud to the class.

REVIEW VOWELS WITH R
Have students work in small groups to create a puzzle book. Students can create a variety of puzzles, including crosswords, scrambled words, mazes, or riddles. Make sure each puzzle features several of the spelling words. Students can then exchange books for other groups to solve.
