WRITE A SIGN
Ask students to write a sign giving details of a special event in the community or at school. Students should use at least four spelling words in their writing. Post the signs on the bulletin board to share students' work with the class.
Although these words seem easy, they can be hard for third-graders to spell correctly. Alert students to these frequently misspelled words and encourage them to think carefully before they write them.
