WRITE A REPORT
Have students choose a topic they
are interested in and write a short report about it. Students should
use at least four spelling words in
their writing. Post the reports on
the bulletin board or have students read them aloud.
Some third-graders find these words hard to spell correctly because the spelling does not reflect the vowel sounds in the word. Alert students to these frequently misspelled words and encourage them to think carefully before they write them.
