WRITE A REPORT
Ask students to write a report
about a favorite topic, using
at least three spelling words.
Have students share their
reports by reading them aloud
to the class, or displaying them
on the bulletin board.
Third-graders are often confused by these words because they look alike, but have different pronunciations, spellings, and meanings. Point out that we're is a contraction for we are. Alert students to these frequently misspelled words and encourage them to think carefully before they write them.
